Stages of a Video Production
Pre-Production establishes the message and the
plan for producing the message in one of several
distribution formats.
Production involves building the individual elements
required by the pre-production plan.
Post-Production brings the individual elements together
into a final distribution product.
Distribution takes the edited master video and
prepares it for Internet, Intranet, or DVD delivery to
clients.
Corporate Video
IMC Studios has been creating
high quality, cost-effective corporate video since 1992.
Pre-Production
Consultation
IMC representatives consult with potential clients to
determine needs and assess which stages of the project
(pre-production, production, post-production or
distribution) will be handled by IMC staff. It is
essential that IMC representatives determine whether the
client has established the message and format of the project
IN WRITING.
An IMC representative provides initial consultation with
potential clients free of charge, excluding meals and
travel.
Scripting/Storyboarding
IMC will take completed project specifications and create
working scripts (or full scripts and storyboards) with
narrative for client approval. This saves you money by
establishing visual elements and message during the
pre-production phase of a project. (Assistance with project
specification is also available--See
Task Analysis .)
Scripts are required for project pricing. Non-scripted
production support will be provided on a Time and Materials
basis only.
Scripting is provided at $50/hour. Estimate 1 hour per
finished minute for projects up to 15 minutes. Above
15 minutes will be priced by the project.
Location Scouting
Locations are scouted and evaluated for the availability
and quality of:
- Equipment Power
- Natural lighting/artificial scenarios
- Vehicle Accessibility
- Trailer services/restroom facilities
The Location Scouting Report is produced at $50/hour.
Travel to and from the location is $35/hour per person,
excluding airfare, lodging and meals.
